Thurston Wildlife Marsh (Maine DIFW & RRCT)

Irving F. Thurston Wildlife Marsh (DIFW and RRCT) covers nearly 100 acres on Meadow Brook off Woodman Road in New Gloucester.  Most of the property is owned and managed by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife.

Thoit’s Branch Headwaters Preserve (Upper Minot Road, Pownal)

RRCT’s Thoit’s Branch Headwaters Preserve (planned) will be located in Pownal off Upper Minot Road. The mature forests of the preserve (planned) host rich ecology, habitat, and traditional uses.  Full preserve information here.

 

Mèmak Preserve (78 Lufkin Road, North Yarmouth)

RRCT’s Mèmak Preserve is located in North Yarmouth at 78 Lufkin Road. The mature diverse forests of the preserve host walking trails, snowmobile trails, family-friendly mountain biking, and more.  Full preserve information here.

Granite Falls Preserve 2 Goldenrod Lane

RRCT’s Granite Falls Preserve is located in North Yarmouth at 2 Goldenrod Lane off North Road near the Yarmouth town line. The trail is primarily of neighborhood interest. The preserve is principally managed for habitat and ecology. Full preserve information here.

Old Harris Road Preserve

RRCT’s Old Harris Road Preserve is located in Pownal off of Elmwood Road next to the cemetery. The trail is primarily used as a snowmobile trail and the preserve is principally managed for habitat and ecology. Full preserve information here.
