Pisgah Hill Full Moon Trek

11th Annual Pisgah Hill Full Moon Trek, February TBD, 2023: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The 11th Annual Pisgah Hill Full Moon Trek will be on in 2023! The official moon rise is at TBD pm, but because the moon must rise over nearby Bradbury Mountain, you’ll likely start to see it from the Pisgah Hill around TBD pm. The sun sets around TBD pm. Show up any time after 4:00 pm! Strap on some snow shoes, bring a headlamp, dress in warm clothes, and hike to the top of Pisgah Hill. We’ll provide campfires, s’mores and hot cocoa. There will be lights on the kiosks and we’ll light the trail with snow cairns.

The campfire and summit is a just over half mile from the trailhead and parking, with some minor elevation climb and some ledges that may be icy or rocky. The entire loop trail (return trip) is 1.2 miles.

This event is free and welcoming to everyone. Come join the early evening fun. Dogs are welcome if strictly leashed, with strict attention to pet waste removal.

Recommended safety equipment: Cell phones, whistles, water, flash lights or headlamps, warm clothes.
