Old Crow Ranch

Old Crow Ranch in Durham, Maine, is a family run, pasture-based livestock operation that is conserved by an agricultural conservation easement held by RRCT since 2008. In 2019, RRCT and Old Crow Ranch acquired a nearby pasture — now known as Old Crow Ranch II — also with a “forever farm” agricultural conservation easement. The 2008 and 2019 projects were supported by RRCT donors; the 2008 project had financial support from the Land for Maine’s Future program. The pasture and the farm, respectively, abut or nearly abut RRCT’s Chesley Meadows Preserve and the town of Durham’s Runaround Pond Recreation Area, and also the planned New Leaf Farm conservation easement, creating a varied landscape matrix of more than 450 acres of conserved land. Old Crow Ranch raises grass-fed beef and pastured pork and poultry.
