Mayall Mills State Historic Site
Description
Located within the Royal River watershed in the Pineland Public Reserve Land, the Mayall Mills State Historic Site is home to the first water-powered woolen mill in North America. Managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, the site is a great place to fish the clear, well-stocked waters of Collyer Brook, a Royal tributary, or enjoy a scenic lunch at the picnic area.

Just upstream at the corner of Mayall Road and Route 100 is a second public access area that provides bank access for fishing.
